Local Area Description

Jalon Valley has some of the best scenery in Spain. There are magnificent mountains which surround the plains of olive trees, orange groves, lemon groves, vineyards, raisins, cherries and almonds. Peppered in the Jalon Valley are unspoilt villages including Alcalali, Jalon, Lliber, Murla and Parcent.

The nearby Jalon Valley is a walker's paradise ranging from a very gentle stroll to a six hour walk around the Sierra Bernia mountains to the south of Jalon. In late January and early February the whole of the Jalon Valley is covered with pink and white almond blossom and is the best time to see it.

The property itself is set on a flat plot in-between the towns of Pedreguer (2km) and La Xara (1 km) and only a short distance (5 Km) to Denia where there is a long sandy beach, shops, restaurants and bars. The Hotel Marriott is only 3 km away where there is an 18 hole golf course and Spa where non members are welcome. Those looking for an opportunity to try alternative, holistic therapies, including acupuncture, reflexology and many more can pre book before arrival. Exercise, tennis and fitness programmes for those more energetic can also be arranged.

Located just outside the town of Pedreguer and on the way to the town of La Xara this property is set amongst orange groves on a large, flat plot with panoramic mountain, sea and country views. The area of La Sella is opposite the villa where tennis courts, a gym, horse riding and a good restaurant is available where lessons can also be arranged. The Marriott La Sella 18 hole golf course and Spa is a 10 minute drive and available to non members. The town of Denia with it's 12th century castle is only a few minutes drive and is a lively, interesting place to visit. It also has some good sandy beaches and a port. The town of Javea is around a 20 minute drive and also boasts a sandy beach and a small port. There are many restaurants and bars in both towns. For those looking to escape and see the countryside the Montgo National park is only a short drive and heading further inland is the beautiful area of the jalon valley which is ideal for walking or is also popular with cyclists.
